The law is still an ass!

Harbhajan Singh has been banned for 3 tests, for allegedly making racial comments against Andrew Symonds. Why am I not surprised at the decision, even though the Match Referee has himself supposedly accepted that he had no evidence other than what Hayden and Clarke said? I expected this decision because the cricket establishment remains patently racist. For all their protestations against racism, look at the number of times a white cricketer has said something about black or brown cricketers on the field and got away with it? Even on this occasion, what is galling is the lack of any hard evidence. Since when has hearsay become admissible in a process meant to deliver justice? Since it is only the word of the Australian cricketers vs Sachin and Harbhajan’s word, why is the latter not treated on par with the former?
And now that a counter complaint has been lodged against Brad Hogg for allegedly making abusive comments against Kumble and Dhoni, I am confident that the Match Referee will dismiss the case on grounds of insufficient evidence. Anyone disagree?
