“Obnoxious little weed”

February 26, 2008

Hayden reportedly referred to Harbhajan an “obnoxious little weed” on a radio show. The Indian media is reporting this widely and doing its best to provoke sentiments, responses and so on. I think the best way is to ignore such comments; affording them media coverage only serves to keep the issue in the limelight for longer than it deserves.

Every person is entitled to his or her opinion and Hayden has his. Hayden calling Bhajji names does not make them stick- or true. I think all these on- and off-the field tactics are a clear sign that Ponting and his team are quite worried and are a way to distract the Australian public’s attention from a summer that has been far from easy sailing for the home team. Team India should savour its victory and focus on trying to beat Australia in the finals. Everything else is just noise that will soon attenuate.

Hayden is looking for cheep publicity and Indian Media is helping him. The fact remains that Aussies can never play Harbhajan or in fact rookie spinner like Piyush chawla . They did it with Murali as they had no solution and now they are taking on Harbhajan. This type of comments are made in frustration. He is mentally tough I don’t think this will cause any harm to him. Thanks to Symonds, Hayden and ponting harbhajan is equally famous in Autralia as well. Last but not the least Indian players make much more money than Aussie cricketer would make in his whole life. Most of them have there own mercedes including harbhajan. But sorry Mr Ponting and company our companies have huge bucks so they pay them and they belong to richest board in the world. This is money which matters.

Sure I dunno if I remember if I ever hated any opponent against whom i played. Yes, I wanted to knock the bails off the batsmen every time i bowled, and if i was hit for a four i hated by bowl not the batsman. The only person who would foul mouth an opponent is one who’s not able to put it across in actions on the field. Well, is it time for someone to retire?

Well what did Symonds actually say to Sharma to get him to point his finger towards the Pavilion? Well check this out:
